ICU Equipment

ICU Equipment’s:

The different types of medical equipment used in an ICU are- Monitor, ventilator, IV Catheter, Urine Catheter, Pleur-evac, Nasogastric tube (NG tube), ECG electrodes, Nasogastric suction, Pulse Oximeter, Crash Cart, Anesthesia Machine, EKG Machine, and more.

Ventilator:

Mechanical ventilators are machines that act as bellows to move air in and out of your lungs. Your respiratory therapist and doctor set the ventilator to control how often it pushes air into your lungs and how much air you get. You may be fitted with a mask to get air from the ventilator into your lungs.

Patient Monitor:

It is used for the observation and measurement of patient’s health parameters such as heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, blood-oxygen saturation, and many other parameters of critically ill patients. Such accurate and immediate information is useful for making crucial decisions for effective patient care.

Defibrillator:

Defibrillators are devices that apply an electric charge or current to the heart to restore a normal heartbeat. If the heart rhythm stops due to cardiac arrest, also known as sudden cardiac arrest (SCA), a defibrillator may help it start beating again.

ECG System:

An electrocardiogram (ECG) is a simple test that can be used to check your heart’s rhythm and electrical activity. Sensors attached to the skin are used to detect the electrical signals produced by your heart each time it beats.
